Jennifer L. Pruski is a shareholder in the litigation, property management, and bankruptcy departments of Trainor Fairbrook. Her primary areas of practice are business disputes, bankruptcy, property management and real property litigation. She regularly represents property owners in lease disputes, partners in business disputes, and creditors in bankruptcy. Ms. Pruski also has extended her representation to international banks relating to real and personal property foreclosures, collection work and the sale of commercial properties. She manages and supervises the litigation and collection efforts for a local Sacramento Valley property owner and developer. Ms. Pruski became a Certified Specialist in the Area of Creditors’ Rights by the American Board of Certification in 2016. The examination and qualification process is vigorous and ensures that only the best of the best become a Certified Specialist in California.
Since joining Trainor Fairbrook, Ms. Pruski has represented individuals as well as corporations in a variety of real property-related matters which have lead to a greater involvement in bankruptcy and creditors rights. She routinely prepares motions for relief from stay, objections to plans of reorganization that do not provide for an adequate distribution to her clients, defends proofs of claim, seeks orders requiring post-petition payments when appropriate, and participates in evidentiary hearings on confirmation matters. Using her extensive experience in asset investigation and judgment collection, she evaluates the likelihood of recovery in any matter and provides clients with a candid assessment of what a client can expect from a particular dispute.
Prior to Trainor Fairbrook, Ms. Pruski represented the marine industry in administrative hearings before the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and in litigation before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, the Marin County Superior Court, and the First District Court of Appeal. She routinely defended product manufacturers and property owners, including all the major ski areas in California and Nevada, in litigation.
Alison Geddes is an attorney in Trainor Fairbrook’s Property Management and Litigation Departments. Her primary area of practice is commercial property management and real property litigation.
Ms. Geddes’ commercial property management experience includes assisting owners and managers of retail, industrial, office and mixed use property with all aspects of lease enforcement, preparation and service of default notices to tenants, unlawful detainer litigation, breach of lease litigation and abandonment of leased property and tenants’ personal property within leased premises. She also enforces judgments awarded in favor of Trainor Fairbrook’s clients by locating and levying upon assets including bank accounts and real property as well as utilizing other judgment enforcement mechanisms. Ms. Geddes works with Trainor Fairbrook’s property management and litigation teams representing property owners and businesses with all phases of litigation including discovery, deposition, law and motion, mediation, arbitration, trial and judgment enforcement. Ms. Geddes advises owners and managers of commercial real estate regarding contractual obligations and lease compliance.
Ms. Geddes is admitted to practice before all Courts in the State of California as well as the United States District Court for the Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California.
Michael Middleton is a shareholder and senior construction attorney in the Litigation Department of Trainor Fairbrook. His background as an attorney embraces a broad practice of representing clients in the areas of construction, business and employment law. Mr. Middleton has over two decades of experience in civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution, and has successfully participated in numerous jury trials, administrative hearings, binding arbitrations and mediations of construction employment and contract disputes.
Mr. Middleton’s practice emphasizes all aspects of the construction industry, including construction defect actions, review and resolution of construction claims, and construction-related litigation in state and federal courts throughout California. Additionally, he has extensive experience in the areas of mechanic’s liens and collection matters, wage and hour disputes, State and Federal wage audits and a variety of other business matters faced by California employers and contractors. Mr. Middleton has been a seminar speaker for the National Business Institute with topics ranging from Human Resource Law to Construction Law. He has also served as a Pro Tem Judge for the El Dorado County Superior Court.
