Advocacy
Legislative Update
A key element of BOMA Sacramento is its governmental affairs advocacy program which has been designed to keep BOMA members up-to-date on federal, state, and local legislative measures affecting the commercial real estate industry in the Sacramento region.
Led by the BOMA Sacramento Government Affairs Committee with assistance from California Business Properties Association, the advocacy program focuses on providing BOMA Sacramento members with information about key legislative and regulatory issues, as well as providing a way to make your voices heard by our elected officials. Lobbying activities are conducted at the state level by the BOMA California (BOMA CAL) Legislative Team and at the federal level by BOMA's parent organization, BOMA International, based in Washington D.C.
Action Alerts
During the course of the Legislative year, BOMA Sacramento will be providing you updates on key pieces of legislation that will have a direct impact on your business and the health of the commercial real estate industry. When such a measure is set for action in either the California State Assembly or the California State Senate, BOMA Sacramento will be asking you to contact your legislator and inform them of your position on the bill. Stay tuned for more information on this grassroots program in the coming weeks.
